Surprise, Surprise~! [Closed, until the prank's over]

It had taken awhile yes, but, the Breezie's master plan was set-up and complete. A few days worth of work ever since she arrived back at Ponyville, and while she secretly snuck around with the best prankster in town, Pinkie Pie, it was absolutely worth it in the end once she got everything on her tiny camera. Somehow, Orchid had a feeling she would be facing a wrath that would screw with her life for awhile, but if Avan and Tuli could understand a good joke, they'll get over it. At least she hoped they would. If they didn't... She didn't want to think about that - the very idea of that made her shiver as she put everything in place. It was so early in the morning though, and she felt her wings drooping... So tired. Looking at her checklist over to make sure everything was ready, she had zipped and zoomed around to triple check, or was it quadruple check now?


Her tiny writing was scrawled onto the small sheet of paper messily, as though she hadn't done much to try and write it down. With Pinkie's help, she had gotten cameras installed everywhere, and while she was told it was kind of weird, the earth pony was very happy to help her with this. Apparently, there's not been a good prank around since Rainbow Dash had left Ponyville last time. Time to spice it up a bit. As long as everything works out. The cookies were on a very nice platter, crispy with a golden brown tone and honestly, Orchid couldn't have told the difference if she hadn't made them herself. The bowl of cereal was laying next to the delicious snacks, was so convincing with such a small layer of milk - she'd have to thank Pinkie for the idea later too. The note... It said interesting things, and the rest of the prank relied on Tuli not remembering that Avan can't write in Equestrian. If it didn't work, Orchid had her back-up plan, sort of. Everything was ready.

Now, time to go scare the daylights out of her graceful unicorn friend. The small Breezie quickly glided towards Tuli's room, grasping around for the invisible string that triggered the alarm clock that woke up her friend. It took awhile, but once she did, the loud ringing sound blared throughout the house and somehow, Orchid regretted adding this part in. She was lucky enough Avan was out. Once she heard the unicorn stir slightly, the miniature mare flew out of sight, waiting at the next station - Avan's room - to make sure each part was perfectly timed.

Somehow, she had a feeling this would be her death. But it would be completely worth it.

Now that, Tuli wasn't expecting.

The loud blaring of one of the new inventions to supposedly wake ponies up started the heck out of her, to the point where she nearly blasted the darn thing. Obliterated, blasted... Whichever one would prefer. Calming herself down and going away from her bed, Tuli grabbed the brush off of her night stand and combed it through her mane. Tangled as it was, it always gave way and became its mass of silk at some point. After that, she'd get something to munch on.

Remembering that Avan would be out for most of the morning, Tuli headed downstairs. Yawning as she did so, she looked around for any little traps she would be able to spot. Only Celestia knew whenever the little breezie would try to mess with her, and she'd keep her eyes out for anything that she could spot.

Trotting towards the kitchen, she spotted the platter of cookies and a bowl of oats and milk. Avan, how wasteful can you be? She thought to herself, innocently looking around before breaking off a piece of one of the cookies with her magic.

Taking a bite out of the piece, she immediately spat it out. "What the..?" It took her a moment or so to realize what it was.... Toothpaste! Man, she only knew it had to be that breezie. Narrowing her eyes, she put the cookie down. "Starlight Orchid! I swear!" She shouted, grumbling angrily as she then picked up the bowl of oats.

Moving over to the compost bin, she took the spoon out and put it by the other dirty dishes before trying to empty the bowl. Trying. Only a small bit had slid out until a big chunk of it did, and Tuli wrinkled her nose. Eeww... She thought to herself, before finally grabbing a can of air freshener and quickly spraying a bit.

Once that was done, the mare looked around for the little Breezie before continuing towards the living room. Not that she had much to do, this time of year the weather took care of watering the plants.

Oh gosh, Orchid almost felt like she was going to give her hiding spot away from all the laughter she had. This was too good, but somehow, Tuli was going to find the number of pranks she had to be the one thing that lead to her death. Too bad. Ah, the face on the mare's generally poised expression was a fit to have, and her hooves had to cover her mouth to contain all the giggling. It was the best to see when somepony was angry at you for such a simple prank, but this couldn't be considered simple... But, there's always an exception, right? Good thing note was missing, because honestly, the Breezie would've had a few problems if Tuli saw it. Best part is that she moved into the other room without needing the tiny mare's help. Looking around for that smoke machine that Pinkie had lent her, peering out of the closet, Orchid quickly dashed through the air, zip-lining as quickly as she could towards the machine, clicking the button. As the hazy fog emerged from the small, miniature machine, she found the giant bag of confetti, opening the umbrella slightly as the entire colorful mesh poured like a river into the umbrella.

And then the snare for the fire alarm went off. Looks like Tuli stepped on the string. Ugh, this was going to kill her ears, but still worth. Hopefully.

That fire alarm going off just about killed Tuli. The sound of the blaring, and looking around when she saw the smoke... Her eyes widened in fear. Then, the sprinklers went off. She didn't truly care at this point... She needed to get out of there. Getting wet wasn't as bad as burning alive, and she bolted out the door... Bolted. Managing to snag a few things with her with her magic, including her cloak and a project of hers, (A type of flower,) once she was outside she tried to see exactly where the fire was at. But wait... She couldn't see the fire... Noir could she smell it. Orchid...

Going back inside, she grabbed her umbrella... And phoom. Confetti everywhere. But it still bocked the sprinklers. Rushing to the basement of Avan's house and shutting off the system, she then came back up and shook herself out. Good thing the books didn't get wet... She thought, remembering how the book cases were always sealed. But otherwise, things were wet. It'd take a bit for it all to dry, but luckily there were a few drains here and there and the water mainly went towards the doors.

Walking around the living room to check for anything she'd have to wring out, her eyes fell upon a cup with what seemed to be a dead Orchid underneath a cup, along with a bunch of flies and bugs. "O-Orchid? C-mon... This isn't funny." She growled, knocking over the cup.

Dead silence. Literally.

The Breezie had grown very quiet, watching the scene take place under the cover of a plant. She wouldn't be able to fly if she got wet, after all. So, thus came the time. It was definitely happening. Tuli had reached the end of her series of pranks, and best part was, the unicorn seemed to almost be falling for it. Much joy filled Orchid's tiny heart, but it still hung heavy with the fact that she couldn't stand her plotted, gruesome death either. It was disgusting and she didn't think a death like that should happen to any Breezie, or pony to that matter. But, alas, she had to stay quiet for a little longer for Tuli to start the depression stuff and all that regret that ponies go through when somepony passes away unexpectedly.

Once all of that "I'm sorry for being mean" and stuff is over, then Orchid would finish her prank with a bang. Too bad it couldn't be an actual bang of fireworks and she had to do it... Metaphorically? Yeah? No? Oh well.

Tuli kept prodding at the breezie-body, her eyes beginning to show a bit of grief. Not much though, but still.

"Oh... Avan's going to kill me..."

That was all that fell out of her mouth as she went over and shut off the now-noticed smoke generator.

Going back over to the little table, she sighed and shook her head.

"There's no use for apologies now. Orchid, I'll miss you."

The words were spoken flatly, Tuli's head hanging as she started to make her way outside. How was she going to explain this to Avan? That Orchid had started to prank her but ended up killing herself while doing so? There was one thing of the situation she could think happy on... That the Breezie most likely died while laughing her head off at Tuli falling for her prank.

"It'll be alright, you know?"

Those were the first words the Breezie spoke as she flew over to Tuli, landing gently on the unicorn's head. Idea was that she'd try to suspend it for a longer time, but honestly, her friend was trying to avoid it longer. The weird thing she always found with the fake death pranks is that if a pony waited long enough, it takes three seconds for the victim to believe it. Same with Tuli and Avan at one point. Somehow, it seemed really silly that people fell for this prank so easily. Ponies were so gullible these days, but that was always a good thing for a prankster or joker. Nonetheless, Orchid hadn't said a word again, silencing herself to let the voice sink into Tuli's mind as to who was talking to her. Time to scare the wits out of the mare one last time.

"Surprise, surprise~ Miss me, Miss Fancy?" Orchid said after quite a long while in the outdoors, flying so that she was level with Tuli's eyes. Nature was great, Ponyville was being fantastic. It was great to be back.

Avan sighed softly to himself as he trotted though Ponyville, heading toward his home. His cloak swished as he trotted at a good pace, wishing to return home as soon as he could. He had decided to spend the morning with Matthew, even thought his wing wasn't completely healed. It still was wrapped up under his cloak, but an annoyed part of him knew his wing should have been healed by now...He slowed down as he grew closer to his house, reminding himself to tell Tuli that he hoped that her toy for the little manicore was ready, as Matthew had destroyed the makeshift one she had created. He was half sure that Matthew had eaten the leaves that had made up the toy Avan's hair...

He soon reached the door and opened it...Only to blink when he saw the chaos that had unfolded within. Everything was wet, there was confetti everywhere. And in a second, he knew what had happened. Orchid had never been much of a problem until Tuli came along...Not that he was blaming her, but the white mare had awoken something in the young Breezie...A fondness of pranking her. He only had to walk in a few hoofsteps to glance around the corner enough to see Orchid facing Tuli. A sharp frown appeared on his face as he flickered an ear, and a glow surrounded his horn.

"What happened?" he demanded as he stepped in, even thought he had a rather good idea, encasing Orchid with his magic and pulling the fairy-pony over to him, having her turn to face him in the way. As he stared at the Breezie, he froze for a second as he glanced toward the kitchen then at the mess around him. "I am out for just a few hours and this happens? I hope you are not expecting just Tuli and I to clean up this mess, Orchid," he added the breezie's name in a slightly cold tone as he glared at her, annoyance filling his face. "You should also hope that you have not done anything you will regret..."

That had just about killed the mare. The words above her head in the little Breezie voice, she was sure that she had something messing with her head. Shaking her head a few times, when the little Breezie was suddenly in front of her Tuli lept backwards. "Orchid! Why did you..?" She was cut off by the Breezie suddenly seeming to be pulled away, and another thing.

When she spun around to see Avan, and how mad he was at the little Breezie... The entire event of Orchid scaring the life out of her and Avan doing it as well was enough shock on the mare's body. Her stress levels had already skyrocketed with the Breezie's prank, as well as figuring out how to tell Avan how Orchid had died, but this?

That had done it.

"Av-" Thud. Tuli had collapsed as she had started to walk indoors, her legs having suddenly felt weak and her vision blurring. It was all so sudden... But one thing was for sure, was that something wasn't right. The last thing she felt was her heart seemingly to go a hundred miles an hour, and then when she went down...

One thing was clear, and it certainly wasn't common for ponies her age.

Orchid's prank had done so much to the Unicorn, that it had given her a heart attack.

The small, fairy-like pony was just about to answer Tuli's question when she felt a familiar magic drag her to a different spot like a magnet collecting the metal around to scrap it. That was when the pair of green eyes met each other and the tea rose coat of the Breezie seemed to fluster up. Did these two really want to rage at her? It was a joke like every other time. It didn't make sense why they would be so made now... "It was a harmless pr---"

A collapse somewhere else. The thud rung loudly in her eyes like a gong that didn't went to stop resonating throughout the shrine. But, this wasn't anything like the holiness in a religious place. Nope. If anything, it was the opposite.

The Breezie craned her neck over as far as she could past Avan's ear, trying to get a glimpse as best as she could under the chains that magic put over her. Tuli had collapsed and fallen. To be clear, Orchid had thought it was a joke and revenge. But the longer she waited, the more it felt real. Oh, the irony. She hated it. "Uhm, Tuli...? Are you okay?"

Avan had quietly waited for Orchid to explain, but when the fairy pony was cut off when Tuli collapsed. His green eyes widen as panic filled his body, his magic releasing the fairy as he raced forward. "TULI!" he gasped as he reached her side, coming to a stop as he leaned down and stared at her, fretting over his fallen friend. What could have happened...So many thoughts ran though is mind until it was almost like it was just given to him; an heart attack. Tuli was having a heart attack. Whattodowhattodo. He had to help her, but how. His ear flickered at the sound of orchid's sound, but he paid no heed to her. However, soon something stuck a nerve. His eyes suddenly narrowed as his horn lit up, encasing one of the pillows from the couch and sent it flying across the room. The pillow barely missed hitting Orchid, but even the simple movement from it could be enough to send her crashing, and sailed into the kitchen where it hit the floor and slide slightly.

That seemed to calm Avan down a little as he took a deep breath, his horn lighting up again but this time he was focused on Tuli. There was a blood cot in her heart...While this is something that a real unicorn doctor would do, Avan was half sure that he could do it...Hopefully. He closed his eyes as he attempted to steady his breathing, letting his magic reach out as he attempt to find the colt that was causing the heart attack. If he could find it...There. In a swift motion of his magic, he removed the colt, breaking it down before he cut off his magic and gently leaned down next to Tuli and nuzzled her ear, hoping that he had stopped the heart attack.

To say the least, it wasn't the best experience in the world. Her chest hurt... She couldn't see or talk... The only thing the mare could do was listen. She could hear Avan rushing over, and much less she didn't know if her eyes were open or closed. Either way, everything was black. But suddenly, she felt something somewhat cold in her chest for just a few moments. Slowly, everything started coming back. She could see light around her, but nevertheless it was blurry for a bit longer. Her head had risen, and she just all around looked somewhat paniced for a bit. The fact that she couldn't see that clearly bothered her the most, and when she could it was a huge relief.

"I-I'm okay..." Tuli said, nuzzling Avan back in the crook of his neck. She felt rather cold, but at the same time it was pobably just from the circulation trying to restabelize. She shifted her hooves on the ground slightly, her muzzle still lying beneath Avan's own as she felt rather tired. "I just need a nap..." In all honesty, Tuli had no memory of the prank. When she looked aroud though, it wasn't pretty. After I sleep I'll pick it up...
