Searching for a Home

The air was cool, and the sound of crunching snow was loud as Crystal Water made her way to the center of the town. The Earth Pony glanced around with wide, blue eyes as she scanned the town, biting her lip slightly. She had hoped she had finally arrived at the place she had been searching for. Her pale, icy blue fur seemed to blend in with the snow but her darker blue mane kept her from disappearing completely. She glanced behind her at the luggage that was perched on her back, careful not to let it fall as she stood lost in the center of the town. "At least I am finally here," she sighed, watching as her breath curled into the air around her. She paused for a second as she shifted on her hooves in the cold air. "I think..."

Ah ponyville,  

A browe Mare walked through the town square, her horn glowing with her blue magic as a jar of honey and a spoon floated besides her. The town certiainly wasn't much but was very well known to every pony because it is home to the elements of harmony and was home to Princess Twlight Sparkle.

Honeyspoon flashed a smile to a few of the fillys that were jumping and horsing around How cute the mare thought as she continued down town square on her way to the Honeyfarm.

She quickly stopped as she took notice of a different pony, an earth pony here in ponyville,  Honeyspoon watched the blue Mare from afar before she approached her with a bright friendly smile.   "Hi! Welcome to Ponyville!"

Crystal Water jumped the moment the brown mare spoke, barely managing to keep her luggage stable on her back. She turned to look at the mare, her mouth already open to speak but before she could utter a word, she forced herself to close her mouth. Focus...She shook her head, before looking at the unicorn with a soft smile. "Hello," she said softly but sweetly before titing her head slightly. "My name is Crystal Water, what is yours?"

"Oh! I'm Honeys-" The brown mare was cut off with a sneeze causing her to be magically teleported behind Crystal Water, the jar of honey shattering onto the ground in alarm. "Whoopsies i need to control my sneezies." Honeyspoon said her face turning slightly red, "And I'm Honeyspoon, so Crystalwater what brings you to Ponyville huh?" The mare had asked gently bumping flanks with her as she stood besides the earth pony.

Crystal Water let out a surprise gasped as Honey Spoon sneezed and disappeared, with the honey jar shattering in the ground. She spun to face the mare, staring at her with wide eyes before she shook her head, trying to calm herself. "Its fine," she sighed, before locking gazes with the mare. "It's nice to meet you, Honey Spoon." Giving the mare a small forced smile, she shook her head and her long mane. "I came to Ponyville to find a place where I belong, but also to find a certain somepony..." She drifted off, before shaking her head quickly. "But that isn't important! First I need to find a place to stay..."

Honeyspoon nodded in understandment, remembering alot of other ponys traveling to ponyville for a place to belong. A sudden idea had made the mare's eyes go bright with excitment, "Well i was just on my way to my home the Honey Farm why don't you stay for awhile so you can figure things out?" She had asked her magic quickly being able to pick up the shattered honeyjar fragments and dumping it into a trashcan nearby.

"Wait, really?" Crystal Water stared at Honey Spoon, her mouth half opened. Part of her wanted to deny her offer, but it would save time and effort for now...Besides, a few days wouldn't hurt much. So, she finally shrugged and dipped her head to the unicorn mare. "That would be wonderful, Honey Spoon, thank you!"

Honeyspoon nodded, "Oh Your welcome!" the mare said with a bright smile, "But before we go want me to show you around Ponyville? since you are going to be living in this town after all." Honeyspoon questioned Crystalwater as she gave a glance at her surroundings.

Crystal Water nodded her head, glancing around the street they were in. "That sounds wonderful!" Besides, I can look for him while at it... She added quietly in her mind, before waving a hoof for Honey to lead her on, only pausing to make sure her luggage was still on her back.

"Oh whoopsie let me take your luggage for you? You must be worn down after a long travel." the mare had offered Crystalwater with a warm smile. "Also whats this Stallions name I might know him and not to be nosy but why exactly are you looking for him?"

Crystal Water sighed, nodding her head as she shifted with the suitcase on her back, titling slightly so it slid off her back with a small 'thunk.' She however paused when the sweet mare asked for the name of the stallion, blinking slightly before a brush spread across her face. "Its...I'm sure you wouldn't know him, so it isn't worth saying," she said, perhaps a bit to quickly. "But...I knew him well from my old town and then he just ended up leaving without saying goodbye. I..I just suppose I want to know why exactly he left."

Honeyspoon blinked her bright blue eyes, slowly starting to nod. "What made you so sure that he came to Ponyville then?" She asked starting to walk forwards as she expected the other mare to follow her. Shifting the luggage on her back one last time so it wouldn't bother her, the yellow mare blinked at CrystalWater finally for the first time notcing her cutie mark. "Oh whats your story of your cutie mark must be an intresting one! Honeyspoon beamed her eyes looking directly at the water drop on her flank that blended very well with her coat color.

Crystal Water sighed sadly, shaking her head. "That is just it; I don't know if he is here...But this place is my last hope as every where else I've looked has just been dead ends." Her gaze shifted to the ground, her ears flicking back. She was silent until Honey Spoon spoke again, causing to look at her as she flickered her ears. "Hm?" The Earth Pony mare glanced at her cutie mark, her blue eyes glowing for a second. "Oh! Yeah...Sure was interesting..." She shook her head, before launching herself into the story. "I worked as a Life Guard in my home town, Talltale as we live really close to the ocean...One of the times, a young foal swam out a bit to far and got hit by a big wave. I had to dive in to save him, and the moment I pulled him from the water I had my cutie mark."

Honeyspoon's gaze turned soft as she listened to Crystalwater, giving her a reassuring nudge."I'm sure that you'll find this mystery Colt as long as you dont give up hope, Ponyville isn't that big of a town, if you want i can also help you look around for him but thats only if you want." The mare spoke softly.

Honeyspoon lifted her head her ears  at the sound of Crystalwater's Cutie mark story, "Thats amazing, looks like your a very special pony! My story isnt all that special all i did was win a big blue ribbon." The mare spoke, a smile forming on her face from the memories of the festival.

"Oh lets continue with the tour shall we?" Honeyspoon spoke trotting off at a slow pace, "Thats the town hall, where all of ponyville meets up to hear our mayor speak to us."

Crystal Water slowly nodded, half listening to what the mare said; knowing full well that she wanted no help in finding the 'mystery colt.' She only glanced over when Honeyspoon started to talk about the town hall, staring at the large wooden building with an amused look. There were a few ponies walking around it, but with a quick glance Crystal Water knew that none of them were the pony she was looking for. Her ears flickered down as she let out a dejected sigh, hoping that she had been right that he was here as she was losing hope fast. She turned her blue gaze to Honeyspoon, waiting for the mare to show her another part of Ponyville.

Honeyspon's ear gave a slight twitch as she walked away from Town Hall, the mare then approached a school building where the laughter of colts and fillys could be heard from a five mile radius. Honeyspoon gave a glance back to Crystalwater, "This is the Ponyville Schoolhouse, where Colt's and Filly's learn." The mare told the blue mare with a smile on her face.

Crystal Water titled her head, a soft smile coming onto her face at the sound of laughing. The sound was sweet, joyful and hopeful. To her, it felt like she had never heard something as wonderful in such a long time. As she stared at the Schoolhouse, she let out a soft, wishful sigh. "I am sure one of those foals will change Equestria for the better one day; child can surprise you after all."
