OOC;; cx Perhaps. Oh, that's punny, "full of life".
IC;; The moment she realized what she had spoken, Dream knew she hadn't done what she had intended. Simply wanting the stallion to not bring up bitter memories was her original goal indeed, not to have him become bitter and suddenly filled with so much despair. Where were these feelings coming from? What had caused all this pain that Avan felt in the first place? It was too difficult for her to wrap into her own mind, because it was something she did not recall feeling. An emotion as though she had lost it. She had forgotten what it meant to be happy, what it meant to belong, what it meant to love, and more importantly, what it meant to be in sadness. There was no way the alicorn could sympathize with anypony, no way she could actually help anypony in their time of need. Nothing, she couldn't do anything about it.
Yet, the mare knew indeed, something was off. The moment his robe was placed upon him once again, somehow, just somehow, Dream had a slight flashback, a minimal and brief one, that the cloak, reacted by heartbeat... And it definitely was going too quickly. What was Avan thinking...?
Hearing his voice become completely bitter wasn't much of a surprise to her at this point, it all fit together somehow... There wasn't anything right. Something was up, but even if she asked now, she wouldn't remember... There'd be no point because the next time, if there was any, she'd ask again and the memories would continue to be a pain. Dream glanced away, not meeting Avan's verdant eyes, she shook her head before a final mutter of "...Sorry..." came out of her and with a strong flap of her wings, the alicorn flew away from the library and through a dark chamber as quickly as she possibly could.
